BOSTON (CBS) – Usually, it’s Patriots head coach Bill Belichick who is known for his short press conferences following a loss.
But Sunday in Miami, quarterback Tom Brady went short.
Following the Patriots 24-20 loss in Miami, Brady was a very unhappy camper. Despite a solid afternoon with 364 passing yards and two touchdowns, Brady and the Patriots’ comeback bid came up short, with the Pats QB getting picked off in the end zone to seal the loss.
After Miami took the lead with 1:21 remaining in the game, Brady nearly led his team down the field and into the end zone. The Patriots got down to the Miami 19-yard line with 27 seconds left, and had four shots at the end zone.
But they couldn’t convert on any of the chances, and Brady’s frustration showed in his brief chat with the media after the loss.
“We didn’t do a good job getting in the red area, we didn’t do a good job finishing drives,” Brady said. “Turns out coming up on the short end of the stick. It wasn’t a good day and we couldn’t make plays when we had a chance to.”
“We had plenty of chances all day. We made some good plays, and made plenty of [crappy] plays,” said Brady, using a different word before walking off to catch the team bus. (Continued…)
